About Me

Hi, I'm Samantha. I'm a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) in BC, and I specialize in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience with neurodivergence to my work, which means I understand the challenges of navigating systems, environments, and institutions that aren't designed with all people's needs in mind.

Mission

You are not broken... you are whole. Neurodiversity is as vital as ecological diversity, and all ways of processing, thinking, feeling, learning, and communicating enrich our communities and our world. My work is about meeting people where they are, helping them, understand how their brains, bodies, and nervous system work, and exploring the "why" behind their experiences. Together, we can recognize strengths, make sense of coping and survival strategies, and build systems and environments that honour emotional, social, sensory, and physical needs. My mission is to support and celebrate authenticity while fostering inclusivity, safety, and creativity in our environments, relationships, and communities.

Approach

  • Strengths-based

  • Collaborative and flexible

  • Individually tailored to meet unique needs, goals, and learning/processing styles

  • Rooted in curiosity, acceptance, and warmth

My goal is to create a safe space where all of you is welcome, and where your unique ways of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world are respected.

Collaboration is at the heart of my practice—I work in partnership with my clients to create systems, strategies, and supports that are meaningful and individualized.

Who I Work With

  • Adults (newly or late-identified neurodivergent)

  • Couples (ND/ND and ND/NT partnerships)

  • Parents, caregivers, and families

  • Youth and young adults

I support clients navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, sensory processing differences, masking, identity, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Background

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over two decades in arts and alternative education. These experiences and skill sets inform my creative and innovative approach to therapy.

I have supported children, youth, adults, parents, and families in creating learning environments and adaptations that help them grow and thrive. I am especially experienced in supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate alternative education, build support teams, and collaborate with teachers, consultants, and health care providers.

A Bit More About Me

I am curious, compassionate, and creative, and I often think outside the box. My work is informed by years of practicing mindfulness, somatic awareness, and self-compassion. I am also a musician and love being outdoors—both of which continue to shape how I connect with people and with the world around me.
