Neurodivergent-Affirming and Inclusive Therapy and Support Services

I am committed to providing neurodivergent-affirming and inclusive therapy that recognizes and respects the diverse ways individuals think, feel, and experience the world. My approach is strengths-focused and non-pathologizing, centering clients’ inherent abilities and unique perspectives rather than viewing neurodivergence through a deficit-based lens. I understand that neurodivergent individuals navigate environments, systems, and social structures that are not designed with their needs in mind. The effects of neurotypical expectations, masking, and systemic ableism can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, and a disconnection from one’s authentic self.  I work with individuals, couples, and families to create individualized therapeutic plans that honour each client’s learning, processing, and communication styles. I work collaboratively with autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD individuals, parents and caregivers, newly diagnosed or self-identifying neurodivergent adults, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, and sensory processing differences. Recognizing the need for support networks and a collaborative team approach to health, I also work closely with teams of support providers - including educators, caregivers, and allied professionals—to create adaptive systems, environments, and IEP strategies that promote health and wellness in everyday life.  My work extends beyond individual coping strategies to fostering broader shifts in understanding, accessibility, and advocacy.

Voice and communication arts therapy explores the intersections of voice, self-expression, and emotional well-being. Clients are supported as they develop vocal health, confidence, creativity, authentic expression, and communication skills. Using somatic, experiential, and mindfulness-based techniques, we investigate creative blocks, performance anxiety, and creative injuries. Expressive art practices are used as tools for self-discovery, community-building, and identity formation and development. My work is grounded in the belief that we can learn to work with our unique bodies, minds, and nervous systems. We approach self-inquiry with curiosity and compassion, identifying our needs, strengths, developmental edges, psychological injuries, and conditioned behaviours and beliefs. From this place of awareness, we can discover new ways of responding to our circumstances, ourself, to others, and the world.
